Many electronic products contain indicator lights or have backlit surfaces of one sort or another. Typically the light itself originates from an LED on a circuit board located somewhere remote from the intended site. Clear molded plastic light pipes (also known as light tubes or light guides) are used to conduct and shape the light for its final use.

Using one of our ultra-clear stereolithography materials and some extra finishing, now it is possible to prototype these light pipes without expensive injection mold tooling so that you see for yourself how the end product will look.
