Opaque Black Stereolithography Material Now Available

A new ABS-like material is available now at FineLine that is opaque black in color. Known as Huntsman Renshape 7820, we offer it in our small platform machines — up to 10” x 10” x 10” — in either normal resolution or high resolution.
Customers requiring black parts without painting, or parts that exclude visible light might find this new material to be a perfect fit for their applications. Products involving optical components, lasers, photography or video may be able to benefit from the material. Even sections as thin as 0.030” are almost completely opaque.
The properties of Renshape 7820 are similar to our current clear WaterShed 11122, or white Protogen 18420, with ABS-like stiffness and above-average impact strength and elongation to break.
